What are the different types of vape kits?
Author - Written by Peter Smith - Vape Industry ExpertIf you are a new user, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the hundreds of different vape kits and e liquid collections available on the market. Even finding the right starter kit can be a challenge. We not only offer you a wide range of vape kits, but also the necessary guides that can help you choose the best vape kit and e liquid for yourself.
There are two main categories of vape kits:
Closed vape kits
As suggested by their name, these vape kits are closed, utilising pods pre filled with e-liquid. With inhale activated devices, and single-use ability, these vape pod kits are small in size and easy to use. You cannot refill these pods, and it requires very little maintenance. Closed kits can also come in the form of disposable vapes or e cigarettes.
Open vape kits
Another type of vape kit is known as an open vape kit. They offer you more freedom as they possess a refillable tank or pod, allowing you to choose the flavour and the nicotine strength of the e liquid. The tank is empty at the time of purchase, and you have to buy the e liquid separately according to your preference. Just like a closed vape kit, an open vape kit is also rechargeable and comes with a charging cable. However, an open vape kit is usually more cost-efficient as it has a longer battery life. However, it also requires careful maintenance on your part. An example of open vape kits would be sub ohm kits or basic vape starter kits.
The London Vape Company has a wide variety of both the types of vape kits as well as pod mod collections. Shop now for the best open and closed vape kits and electronic cigarettes.

What is the difference between a pod kit, mod, and pod mod?
For new vapers, understanding the vaping terms can be a challenging experience. You need to know about each type of vape and its qualities in order to identify the right vape kit for you.
Pod kits
Vape pod kits are the second most convenient way to start your vaping journey and start towards quitting smoking. Pods kits unlike disposables do utilize a rechargeable battery, often needing coils changed and filling of your own liquid. Pod Vape Kits are the perfect, pocket sized and convenient device for anyone looking for a Vape Device with a smaller form factor. Pod Kits are the one of the simplest devices to use, just fill the pod (if you have an open system) or click in a new pod (if you have a closed system) and go! Pod Vapes are generally the smallest vape devices you can get with the least upkeep. Open Pod Vape Devices will need a coil change, depending on how much you use it, this could be every 1-2 weeks, but simply fill the pod and vape away. If you’re using a closed system, when your pod is empty, dispose of the pod correctly and click in a new one. It’s that easy! These kits are very close to vape Starter Kits by way of vapour production and throat hit but a lot smaller in size. We recommend using 50/50 VG/PG in a Pod Vape Kit or consider using Nicotine Salt e-liquid for an even smoother experience.
We offer a wide range of Pod Vape Kits from top brands suck as Aspire, Vaporesso, Uwell, VooPoo and many more.
Open Pod systems.

Closed Pod systems.

Vape mods/Advanced vape kits
A vape mod attaches to the vape tank where the e liquid is stored. Inside the vape mod you will find the battery house where you would install your own batteries. These are more advanced kits that provide you a customisable experience. They are larger in shape as compared to pod kits and have more parts to them.
Generally used by a seasoned vaper, this vape kit provides bigger vapour clouds, enhanced flavour, and adjustable airflow. These vape mods use sub ohm tanks that heighten your vaping experience by providing you the direct-to-lung hit. These kits offer a multitude of setting and adjustability through advanced chipsets within the mod.
Pod mods
A pod mod is a combination of both the pod kit and the vape mod. If you are a user who is looking for the portability of the pod kit and the customisability of the mod, the pod mod is the best device for you. A pod mod stores its e liquid in a pod rather than a glass tank but offers the performance of a full-sized vaping mod. You can refill the e liquid in the pod and keep on using the small low maintenance device while getting the full vaping experience of a vape mod.
